First Annual Eden Gate Charity Golf Tournament: Benefiting Adopting Families

Please join us for a day of golf, fellowship, and fun at Old Hickory Country Club to benefit the Eden Gate Adoption Fund! Lunch is provided for all golfers and there will be a silent auction and raffle after the tournament. We have a lot of great prizes from donors such as Gardens of Babylon, Greenwood BAM, Holiday World, Nashville Modern Tiny House, and Arrington Vineyards!

One of the couples benefiting from this fund for 2015 is Josh and Allison Tinius. Here's their story.

Josh and Allison have been married for 7 years and have always wanted to adopt internationally. After working with Nashville's refugee community for eight years, they knew they wanted to adopt from a country that they had ties to and began looking into adopting from a few different countries in central and east Africa.

Before adopting, however, they chose to work overseas in Haiti with New Hope Haiti Mission, an orphanage in Port Au Prince, Haiti. After seeing issues in orphan care and international adoption up close and personal, they knew they wanted to be careful about the country they chose to adopt from.

After a lot of research and prayer, Josh and Allison have decided to adopt from Burundi - a small country in Southeast Africa with a promising new international adoption program. To make it an even better fit, many of their refugee friends are from Burundi and nearby countries.

Adoption is not an inexpensive or easy process. Eden Gate seeks to walk alongside families through this process. Please join us in helping grow Josh and Allison's family and providing a safe home for children who deserve one.
